  • In this course you will learn to navigate the various parts of the online training system, to open, read and respond to course materials, and to communicate with course administrators and other participants. The course is designed to enrich your experience of other courses you participate in.
  • This course examines the fundamental principles of non-profit management, explore the roles and responsibilities of a non-profit board of directors and the management teams, discover the essential aspects of resource mobilization, and the budgeting process.
  • This distance learning course is designed to empower the participants with tools and sector-specific guidelines for gender mainstreaming in their various institutions and development planning.
  • The course seeks to examine how gendered identities are formed and re-shaped as a result of the development process; and responsive approaches in a variety of historical and cultural contexts. It will equally explore how gender and development relate to other categories of social identity and difference, such as race, ethnicity, economic and social standing, urban or rural life, etc. The course will explore activities such as: gender-awareness and self-awareness for women and men; gender roles and needs; gender-sensitive appraisal (gender-friendly participatory appraisal (PRA)) and planning; gender research methodologies; gender and major global issues such as environment, culture and economic crisis; working with counterparts on gender issues; gender and development; and strategies for change. Further, attempts will be made on strategies to mainstreaming gender in the public sector and civil society organisations.
  • This course is aimed at building the capacity and commitment of participants to undertake programs targeted at eradicating gender-based violence and to develop a new movement for gender equality.

  • This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring requirements of their projects. It is intended to give participants an appreciation of the types and quantity of data that project managers require in order to keep a project within the confines of the triple constraints.
  • The course examines the inter-linkages between gender and HIV/AIDS,
    explore strategies to mainstreaming gender and HIV/AIDS at policy,
    programmes and implementation processes.
